Details on the EATI's Annual Congress:

The EATI annual congress aimed to address current and emerging international tax issues of particular significance to transatlantic trade and investment. The programme format maintained the 50:50 balance between US and European topics. They were also endeavouring to meet other needs expressed by EATI members in terms of speaker choice and topics.

The congress was formatted to foster an open exchange of views amongst taxpayers, advisors and tax authorities. Intelligently achieving the right balance often comes down to being able to predict the reaction of governments and taxpayers to various transactions and initiatives. The speakers were from all of the sectors and provided a balanced panel stimulating lively debates throughout the congress.

There were present:

Rod Burton (Oreton)
Wolfgang Buttner (Brussels)
Stephen Fiamma (London)
Raymund Gerardu (Zurich)
C.J. Getz (Zurich)
Hal Hicks (Washington D.C)
Juliane Kokott (Luxemboug)
